Face Skin Care Origins

Human skin is considered the largest organ in the human body. Containing multiple layers of tissue, the skin is a protective measure to preserve the muscles, organs and bones within the body. It plays a very important role in protecting against the many harmful forces within the environment Human skin is quite similar to that of mammals, however skin properties vary from birds and reptiles.

Skin care is a practice that has been around since before Christ. The ancient Egyptians used a number of naturally available resources to form treatments for many different types of skin conditions. These cultures found it important to maintain healthy looking skin and developed these formulas to defeating dry or oily skin. Many of the natural ingredients used over the centuries in skin care products include aloe vera, beeswax, tea tree oil etc. Honey has always been a prominent ingredient in natural skin care. It contains valuable amounts of antioxidants and anti-microbial properties which are effective at absorbing and maintaining moisture levels in the skin. This form of treatment has also been highly recognized as effective in protecting the skin from sun damage as it is used by people as an organic sunscreen.

In modern times it is common for people to receive treatments and buy products as a method for improving the health of their face skin. This is the most common area for skin treatment as healthy face skin is a physical aspect associated with beauty. The popularity of skin care has risen dramatically over the last few decades predominantly for women however this more recently includes men. The increased importance for healthy face skin has resulted in an industry boom with thousands of new unique products and brands coming onto the market. These products promote healthy and vibrant looking skin by exfoliating, unclogging pores, reducing the effects of aging, improving colour and moisturizing the skin.

There are many imperfections of the skin that people are commonly concerned with. In the facial area, these include pimples, acne, wrinkles, blemishes etc. However the most common and most demanded treatment is anti ageing. This treatment is most common in women who desire younger more vibrant looking faces. This involves reducing and preventing wrinkles, improving skin colour and removing spots. Unfortunately there are hundreds of different products in the market today that accommodate for these needs, many with different formulas and effectiveness. Commonly these products contain agents such as retinol, which gives a rejuvenated appearance to the skin by eliminating spots and stimulating skin cells. Another common ingredient is fruit juices which are in most anti aging formulas because they have the effect of clearing away dead skin to bring out more untouched, younger looking skin.

As a result of the massive industry it has become hard to find products and formulas that are effective at achieving the desired outcome. However this does not mean that these products are not out there. There have been countless tests and reviews conducted by third parties in order to discover these products. Luckily, many of these tests do exist making it easier for consumers to decide what to buy and be confident with the choice they made. These case studies ad tests can be found on many medical and pharmaceutical websites which will provide products that work, best value products and top rated by users. I have found a popular anti aging focused review website that has studied and received consumer ratings for a number of different products. I have posted the link below to assist in your search.
