Taking baby steps, such as- Instead of taking the elevator you can just take the stairs, instead of parking by the closest parking spot when you are shopping, try parking farther away and just walk a little bit more. More walking everyday adds exercise to your daily activities.

It is important to visit your doctor on an ongoing basis and getting a physical is a great way to know you are in good health. Your doctor can do a test for cholesterol levels and keep you informed with the results. This will also keep you informed if what you are adding is enhancing your health.

Most people will not even know they have high cholesterol until it's too late or seeing their physician. Taking the right steps to diet to lower cholesterol such as exercising and eating right, you can know for yourself that you are working towards a better way of life. It all starts with small steps- Putting exercise in your life everyday for 30 minutes is a start and will start lowering your cholesterol, which in turn, adds to your life.
