How to Keep Up With Celebrity News on the Internet
Here are a few websites and resources to keep up with your favorite celebrities and see what they're up to!
*Yahoo! Movies and Yahoo! Music.
Yahoo.com has always been a great resource for connecting with others and getting news. Whether your favorite celeb is a singer or actor, you can find info on these sites. Yahoo! Movies not only gives you the latest scoop about upcoming movies and casts, you can also access cast bios and photos from movies and red carpet events. Yahoo! Music not only lets you look up music and music artists, you can see bio pages of music artists to see what song they have written, etc.
*omg!
Another resource by Yahoo, omg! is a quick way to get the scoop about Hollywood and celebrity news. It often shows "top ten" slideshows of celebrities, celeb fashion, and red carpet events. It's a fun, fast way to keep up, with short stories and photos that keep you in the know. Plus, you can comment on all the photos and stories, as well as see those of others.
*Google Search and Google News.
Google.com offers many ways to access news and information, including the top Hollywood gossip! Google is the best known search engine and strives to find new websites and updated information to best fit your search needs. You can either perform a search on Google's home page to find sites mentioning names or incidents, or just click on the "News" link at the top of the page to be taken to the top current news stories. Just click on the "Entertainment" or "Most Popular" link to get the top stories about celebrities and stars. You will hardly make it past the first page without finding something interesting!
*Google Alerts
Another tool from Google, Alerts will send you an email with links to websites and pages that have recently posted new information about any keywords you choose. All you have to do is set up an alert of your choice, then you can receive instant or daily notifications when new information of all media types are available. You could type a name of a person, movie, event, whatever! Google will bring it all, right to your inbox!
*Celebrity Magazine sites. All the magazines you see in check out aisles are also available online! They have stories, pictures, info, links, and more! You will get a more interactive approach and access to information you can't find in the mags! Plus, you don't have to wait for once a month updates, the news and info is right there, all the time.
*TV News sites. Just like the magazines, TV shows like Entertainment Weekly have their own websites. Watching celebrity news on TV is great, but doesn't offer the flexibility and interaction you can get from a website! To find these sites, just type the name of your favorite TV shows on a search engine to get started.
*Twitter. This is one of the newest and hottest websites to get actual updates and news from celebrities themselves. Basically Twitter is a network of anyone in the world who wants to join. Then once you create a profile, you just update people on what you're currently doing and feeling in a short sentence or link. All you need is an account with Twitter, create a profile, and then find the profiles of your favorite stars and, if they've set up one, you can "follow" them to get all the updates of what they're doing! Not all celebrities have time for keeping up with social networking, but twitter is just for on-the-go updates, so many celebrities can quickly let their followers know what's up!
Keeping up with things and people that interest you should not be a hassle. Thanks to the Internet and the wide variety of news and information that is available, you'll never be out of the loop.
